Winter Street Patrol – February 19
February 19 @ 3:30 pm - 7:00 pm EST
Winter Street Patrol is a program of St. Patrick’s Parish and Ignite Young Adult Ministry where groups walk the streets of downtown Toronto delivering lunch bags, hot beverages, clothing, hot soup, and hygiene supplies and company to our brothers and sisters who are living on the streets, and/or experiencing life challenges from day to day.
Winter Street Patrol runs roughly every second week. Please see the registration information below to see the next available date.
Participants bring a backpack with 8-10 sandwiches. We will assemble them into lunch bags on site with other supplies – You provide the sandwiches only.
Please come prepared with a backpack and your individually wrapped sandwiches. Be sure to dress according to the weather conditions.
When and Where to meet
Volunteers are asked to gather in the hall (139 McCaul Street) by 3:30pm. Following an introduction to our night and gathering prayer, the group will leave from our start point. At the conclusion of the evening (up until 7pm), volunteers can leave from where they are enroute.
PRE-REGISTRATION is REQUIRED!
- Registration is required to allow for proper planning
- Registration is closed when the group reaches the maximum number of participants (15-20 people)
- If your desired date is not listed, then we have reached our capacity for the coming Sunday.
Please note: There may be times when we will have food donations provided for distribution. We will let volunteers know that as soon as we can. Otherwise, please plan to participate with your own donation of sandwiches.
