    “Fish’n for a Miracle” Bible & Beer – IN PERSON
    Ignite! Young Adult Ministry (age 18-39)

    Tuesday February 1 7:00 pm – 8:00 pm
    St. Patrick’s Church, 137 McCaul Street
    (Enter through front Church doors)

    Join us on a monthly basis for an informal “bible study”. We will reflect on the words of scripture as they relate the liturgical season of the year to the experience of our lives and journey of faith.

    We will gather for 1 hour of input and reflection and continue the conversation across the street at the pub in a friendly social atmosphere.

    Proof of COVID Vaccination will be required at the Pub, but not at the Church. Please observe required physical distancing requirements. Masks inside Church are required. Thank You for your cooperation.

    Justice and Service:  Walking in the Way of the Redeemer

    Fostering a justice and service consciousness and spirituality drawn from Scripture, Catholic Social Teaching, adolescent development and contemporary catechetical principles.  Exploring action-learning models for young people and families.

     

    ABOUT NETWORK!

    NETWORK Virtual Seminars will provide parish leaders and volunteers with a comprehensive understanding of ministry, along the tools for developing new initiatives for work with young people (elementary, high school, young adult, and family ministry) by offering sound theological foundations for ministry in four key areas of the Church’s mission:  Evangelization and Catechesis, Justice and Service, Prayer and Worship and Pastoral Care.

    What can Participants expect?

    • online gatherings of no more than 3 hours that will be informative, interactive and engaging.
    • you can participate in one or more of the sessions based upon your interest!
    • an opportunity to learn from professionals in ministry with young people.
    • an opportunity to “network” and build connections across the country.
    • training for volunteers in key areas of ministry that will help build awareness and knowledge for their ministry with young people.
    • resource sharing on social media and virtual platforms

  • Winter Street Patrol “Into the Cold”

    Winter Street Patrol “Into the Cold” is a program of St. Patrick’s Church – Out of the Cold Program, and organized by Ignite Young Adult Ministry based at 139 McCaul Street in downtown Toronto.  As COVID-19 has prevented our doors from being opened to our sisters and brothers who are in need in the downtown core, we are taking it to the streets with food, clothing, hot beverage, emergency aid and referral information.

    Through your participation in the program, you, along with other volunteers on a given evening will bring an EMPTY backpack, and together with our team, prepare lunch bags on-site to carry in your backpack and walk to areas where our help is needed.  Please bring your presto card in case by chance we take public transit to a site.

    Please come prepared with an EMPTY backpack to carry the lunch bags that you will prepare here, your personal non-medical mask, sanitizer, and be sure to dress according to the weather conditions.  Volunteers are asked to gather at the Church Hall – Entrance at 139 McCaul Street by 3:30pm to allow time to prepare the lunch bags.  Following an introduction to our night and gathering prayer, the group will leave from St. Patrick’s.  Please arrive on time.  At the conclusion of the evening (up until 7pm), volunteers can leave from where they are enroute.

    PRE-REGISTRATION is REQUIRED!

    • Each participant is to register using the link below.
    • If you are looking to help on more than one day, please register for each date individually.
    • Registration is required to allow for proper planning of each night and facilitate a record of contact tracing for COVID-19.  COVID Vaccination is not required for casual volunteers.

  • Table for Two – Home Edition!

    A candlelit dinner for couples (married or engaged).

    A night to rekindle, enliven, and celebrate each other!

    As COVID limitations prevent us from having couples gather in person, we will be delivering to homes a box of Table for Two event supplies and prepared meal for 2, with everything you need for a 4-course meal with wine, ornamentation for your table, instructions for set up and meal preparation! Meals will be prepared in advanced and delivered frozen. Delivery will take place leading up to and including Friday February 11th.
